Taking its reputation for pushing out new versions of old products faster than anybody can actually keep up with to bold new extremes, it looks like Apple is planning to launch both the iPad 3 and iPad 4 this year.
According to a report on DigiTimes, an unnamed components manufacturer in Taiwan has claimed the iPad 3 features an 1,536 x 2,048 px QXGA display and improved battery life, but “other hardware specifications may not be so amazing as expected”.
The device is allegedly shipping out in March, alongside an iPad 2 price-cut from $579 to $399, before being made obsolete by the iPad 4’s “much upgraded hardware specifications” and “killer applications” in October.
No word yet on the iPhone 5, 6, and 7, but we can probably expect those sometime between lunch and afternoon tea.
This is obviously all unconfirmed rumour for the moment but honestly, it just doesn’t seem that hard to believe. I guess I’d better enjoy my iPad 2 while it’s still cool.

I think that means “not likely”.
