Call of Duty Elite iOS app out today

Call of Duty Elite

You’re sitting in a crowded coffee shop – right – and a very attractive member of your preferred sex asks to sit at your table, because there aren’t any other open seats. It’s your big moment to impress. You:

a. Sweat excessively.
b. Say you’re an astronaut.
c. Casually pull out your iPhone and show them your Call of Duty career stats.

It’s up to you, of course, but I’d probably go with option (c). That way, prospective dates know whether or not you’re a dirty camper, and that’s the kind of information you really should be honest about upfront.

With that in mind then, Activision has just dropped its free Call of Duty Elite app for iPhone onto the Apple App Store. A version for the iPad is apparently in the works, while the Android version is scheduled to go live next week sometime.

“We’ve always viewed mobile as a big part of the mission of Call of Duty Elite,” Chacko Sonny, head of Beachhead Studios, told Venture Beat. “You can have your Call of Duty Experience be with you no matter where you are.”

The app shows your gameplay stats and recent activity, and lets you jigger with custom loadouts in prep for the big game, all from the comfort and safety of your own toilet. The future is now, ladies and gentlemen.
