Soul Calibur is bashing its way onto iOS

16 January 2012

A Dreamcast port of the first Soul Calibur is going to be making its way to iOS this month – so if you’re drooling for some beat-em-up platime for your iPad or iPhone, then get your celebration pants on.

It’s not really the first fighter to land on iDevices; Street Fighter IV is already there – and that’s pretty fun, even if the touch controls can be a bit finicky at times.

The game will feature all 19 characters from the game, and will have a cool selection of game modes, including Time Attack, Arcade, Survival and Practice and Museum modes.

No word on pricing yet, but like almost every other game on iTunes, it will probably be at an appealing price-point.

The game will support iPhone 4, iPod Touch (4th gen) and iPad 2, will have Game Center support and should smash into US iTunes on 19 January 2012. As always, don’t expect it to be in the SA iTunes store.

If you don’t have a US or UK iTunes account, you’re using iTunes wrong.
