South Africa’s premier monthly StarCraft II event organisers have announced the first PolarfluKe event of 2012.
As usual, there will be a hefty cash prize pool up for grabs. A total of $866 (R7,000) will be split among the top finishing players, making it South Africa’s most lucrative monthly e-Sports event.
A fastrack qualifying round will take place at 7PM on Wednesday, January 25. The tournament will kick off officially on Saturday, 28 January, when Swiss rounds will begin at 2PM.
Players who qualify to go forward will participate in the single elimination rounds which will kick off on Sunday, 29 January at 2PM.
In order to enter, players will be required to own a legal copy of StarCraft II and have an active StarCraft II account on the European Battle.net servers.
Players must also be over 18 years old or have a written consent letter signed by a legal guardian.
The prize cash will be allocated as follows:
Prize pool: R7,000.00
- Winner: R2,400.00
- 2nd: R1,600.00
- 3rd: R1,000.00
- 4th: R600.00
- 5th-8th: R350.00
