Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning is an action RPG currently in the final stages of development at 38 Studios.
EA is publishing the game, and The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind and The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion lead designer Ken Rolston is heading up the project.
The game is based on the fiction of fantasy author R.A. Salvatore, and is being released on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 on 10 February.
The game will feature 5 distinct regions, 4 playable races and 3 class trees with 22 abilities per tree.
It’s a new IP so we don’t really know what to expect from Kingdoms of Amalur, but on paper everything looks good.
EA has announced that a playable demo has gone live and can be downloaded on PC (Steam and Origin), Xbox Live and PlayStation Network.
Players can unlock exclusive items for Mass Effect 3 by playing the demo, which lasts about 45 minutes before players are offered the chance to pre-order the game.
