Did you know that the distinctive Tarzan cry from the 1932 film Tarzan the Ape Man is a sort of audio palindrome? It’s exactly the same backwards and forwards. I saw it on QI.
Anyway, Mojang’s Jens Bergensten dropped the news on Twitter last night that they’ll be bringing a new jungle biome with jungle creatures to Minecraft, but you’ll probably have to supply your own Tarzan yodelling.
I know I will.
Everything is 10 time more fun when you’re yelling at the game – that’s basic science.
According to the latest development snapshot over on Mojang’s blog, the jungle biome will require a new world to create, so if you’re planning to go native, start your goodbyes.
Other incoming changes include:
- Ladders regained their collision box, and vines are climbable when they have a solid block behind them.
- Updated language files.
- Dispensers will place mobs instead of releasing the spawner egg.
- Zombies have new path-finding AI.
- Wolves have new AI and can be bred (when tame).
