As part of its ongoing mission to re-release games we used to love when we were kids and sell them back to us at about the same price we paid back then, GOG.com has added Bullfrog’s cult classic tac-strat game Syndicate to its catalogue.
According to its GOG.com entry, the game is cool because:
- One of very few games to have made it onto almost every “Best Game of All Time” list.
- Amazing level of immersion created by smooth gameplay, intense music, fantastic sound effects, and stylised cyberpunk visuals.
- More than 50 missions that include extraction, extermination, and (forced) persuasion.
Of course, by “stylised cyperpunk visuals”, they do mean 1993.
Okay, I’ll just admit it. I haven’t played this game. I guess I’d better get it, or when Starbreeze’s new Syndicate game comes out later this year I’ll look like a total fake who wasn’t there, man.
Syndicate is tagged at $5.99, or about R40.
