Old school gamers rejoice!

Developer Aditya Ravi Shankar spent three and a half weeks, presumably in a basement filled with Westwood paraphernalia, working on his second web based game, an HTML5 version of the original Command & Conquer.

The game is built using HTML5 and JavaScript, and is currently in version 0.3.

EA already offers a Play4Free browser based version of C&C, an MMO known as Command & Conquer Tiberium Alliances.

However, it’s way cooler when an indie developer does something like this on his own, so play his version instead.

Shankar wants to take the game further, until gamers are able to visit his page and fire up a game of C&C against another random player or bot; neat.
