I DON’T KNOW BUT I BEEN TOLD
AKIMBO SPREES ARE GETTIN’ OLD
SOUND OFF, ONE-TWO
SOUND OFF, THREE-FOUR
It’s right there in Francis Ford Coppola’s Apocalypse Now, I swear. Okay, maybe not, but the latest Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 update has nerfed all akimbo weapon firing rates so it doesn’t matter anymore.
According to the notice over on the official Modern Warfare 3 community forums, the update also includes:
- Networking enhancements, and “further improvements to ‘Host Disadvantage’ / ‘lag comp'”.
- YouTube upload speeds increased from 32k to 256k.
- Shotgun re-balances, with a “slight nerf” to the Striker, and a “slight buff” to all the others.
- A fix for an issue preventing Prestige tokens not being correctly awarded.
- A fix for a bug reporting “games played” across Prestige levels.
The update is already out on Xbox LIVE, and due out on PC and PS3 “soon”.
The post also lists a bunch of issues under consideration for the next update, including:
- Further improvements to the spawn system.
- Improvement to PS3 mic quality.
- HD video uploads on PS3.
- Default 0:30 Round Start timer for System Link only, while looking into adjustable timer for System Link games for competitive play.
- Options to allow System Link players to ‘unlock all’ for competitive play in System Link only.
