In a startling announcement, DICE has announced that it will be hiring an “anti-cheat administrator”. It’s startling not because we don’t think they should employ people to keep an eye on cheaters, but because we assumed that the developer of one of the world’s largest online gaming franchises would already have people doing exactly that. Oh well.
“In our continued effort to keep our games free from cheating, we are now looking for an internet-savvy administrator,” said the job placement.
“The administrator will compose an absolutely vital function to secure the online experience our games represent by actively being a part of the community and keeping up to date with the current cheat exposure.
“The administrator will also own the analytical work with our player behaviour data to keep our leaderboards and game play filled with fair play.”
DICE is also advertising a series of other job postings, including a concept artist whose key responsibilities would include “screenshot touch-ups”. REALLY DICE?
It’s worth mentioning that all the positions listed are temporary and would require candidates to move to Stockholm, Sweden.
