The game doesn’t even have a proper launch date yet, but Trials Evolution is available to download now on the torrents. Although developer RedLynx has previously leaked one of its own PC games, Trials 2: Second Edition, to file-sharing sites as a kind of marketing / publicity strategy – they’ve denied responsibility this time around.

“We want to be clear that [leaking Trials Evolution] is not something we did ourselves,” RedLynx boss Tero Virtala  told Develop. “[Trials 2] was a different project for a different market and in a different time.”

He also added, predictably enough, that the version leaked online is not totally representative of the actual game.

“Trials Evolution is a game that makes full use of being continuously connected. Leader boards, friend challenges, online multiplayer and global track sharing are all integral parts of the game that cannot be experienced before launch,” he said.

“We’re continuing to polish and finish up the game, and we’ll have a new trailer coming soon which will give people a much better look into everything the game will hold and when they can expect to see it.”

Trials Evolution was originally scheduled to launch in 2011, but was delayed to an as-yet unconfirmed date something this year.
