Capcom has announced that a playable demo for Resident Evil 6 will be released on Xbox Live marketplace on 3 July – but only those who purchase Dragon’s Dogma and redeem the token contained inside the game box will be able to check it out.

PlayStation 3 owners who purchase Dragon’s Dogma will have to wait an extra 60 days to access the demo on 5 September.

Capcom has not said whether the demo will be accessible to those who do not purchase Dragon’s Dogma, which is being released in 25 May. There has also been no mention of a PC demo.

Resident Evil 6 is due to be released on 20 November, 2012.
