Got plans for Saturday? Maybe you’d be interested in playing Half-Life 2 for a good cause. Well, it’s a cause of some kind.

The Call for Information (Half-Life 3) Steam group is organising a mass-play of Half-Life 2 in the hopes of alerting Valve to the fact that gamers would like to know a bit more about the company’s plans for the Half-Life series, whether that’s Half-Life 2: Episode 3 or Half-Life 3 or t-shirts with the Half-Life logo that may or may not hint at the existence of Half-Life 2: Episode 3 or Half-Life 3 (etc).

I’m sure the news will come as a tremendous shock to everybody at Valve, who can’t possibly have known a thing about it without this group’s intervention.

“We’re all, like, but nobody told us. We honestly had no idea people wanted to know what was happening,” said hypothetical Future Gabe at a press conference late Monday. “So I’m thrilled to be able to tell everybody right now that we’ve actually cancelled the next game, and you can all get on with your lives now.”
