BioWare has announced that the incoming Mass Effect 3 demo will include freebie Xbox LIVE Gold access for those who don’t already have it. No one left behind, unless you’re Mordin, maybe. That guy was just unlucky.
From the notice over on BioWare’s forums, it looks like the Gold access will be limited to the Mass Effect 3 demo only, though.
“In celebration of ME3, Xbox is pleased to provide fans access to ME3 demo multiplayer for the time leading to launch,” is the official word from Microsoft HQ.
The demo features both single- and multiplayer parts, including two of the game’s levels (“approximately 1-2 hours of content”, according to BioWare) and two multiplayer maps. It’s out on Xbox LIVE on 17 February, although people who bought Battlefield 3 and unlocked their Online Pass can get in early on 14 February.
