Prototype 2 delayed on PC

Radical Entertainment, developers of upcoming open-world shapeshifter slaughterfest Prototype 2, announced, via Facebook no less, that fans will have to wait until the 24th of July 2012 before the PC version will become available.

But don’t worry, Radical Entertainment is quick to let fans know how extremely dedicated they are to you, and wanted to be sure that you heard the news from them first. Right.

PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions are still set to be released two months prior to that, on the 27th of April 2012.

Things are still looking good for the open-world action game with the Facebook page boasting over 380,000 fans and previews detailing a big, messy and promising world.

North American pre-orders can expect “Sgt. James Heller’s devastating Bio-Bomb Butt Kicker ability” and while it remains to be seen if South Africans will be offered any pre-order incentives, it’s speculated that the PC Steam release is likely to offer something.

That extra wait might just be worth it after all.
