PS3 gamers should receive a patch update for the game today, which among other things aims to address VoIP problems that many gamers have been complaining about.
The patch is being rolled out across all platforms later this month, and with it, general gameplay tweaks are expected to be implemented. One fix already confirmed to be included in the patch is the USAS-12 shotgun fix. The USAS-12 was reportedly too powerful when equipped with FRAG rounds, and DICE has previously confirmed that this will be remedied in the upcoming patch.
Another likely candidate for tweaking are the M-COM defender ribbons, which many have complained are too difficult to achieve in Rush game mode. Senior Designer, Fredrik Thylander, has already stated that “m-com defender and m-com attacker are easier to get in the next patch.”
DICE has also stated that mortars will be fixed in the upcoming patch. Many gamers have complained about mortars, saying that it should be impossible for players to set up mortars in their own spawn areas.
DICE has also promised to fix some of the “weird glitches” with the MG36 as well as the Recon and Support “gun glitches” found on the Back to Karkand maps. “Those will be fixed in the next patch,” stated DICE.
DICE has confirmed that the patch will roll out to PS3 owners today, however, it is unknown when PC and Xbox 360 gamers will receive the update.
I guess the name of the game says it all.
