More Diablo 3 details

9 February 2012

If you’re planning on playing Diablo 3 with your buddies, you’ve got two important things to think about – which three friends you’re going to party up with, and how you’re going to squabble over all the bits of loot.

Blizzard community manager Bashiok (just Bashiok) sat down in front of Twitter yesterday to answer fans’ questions about Diablo 3, and confirmed that the game would support up to four players in co-op (with “no plans” to increase that number), but wouldn’t include in-game voice chat at launch.

“There is no built in voice chat, at least not for ship,” he said. “If we try voice chat in another game we want to make sure it’s worth using.”

Bashiok also dropped the soon-to-be-totally-controversial news that, in terms of visuals, what you see in the beta is what you’re getting in the game. “We could add an Ultra setting if you’d like, but it wouldn’t be any different,” he said.

Nope, still no launch date.

You can read the complete transcript at the link below, but there’s probably nothing much you don’t already know about.

    4 is pretty standard nowadays.
If they added an ultra mode, it would probably be released in 2 years at best.
