BAFTA Game awards short-list announced

The BAFTA Game Awards shortlist has been released, after a panel of “industry experts” got together and decided which games the public should have a choice between voting for in the 2012 BAFTA video games awards.

The following games made the list:

•    Batman: Arkham City
•    Battlefield 3
•    Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3
•    FIFA 12
•    L.A. Noire
•    Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword
•    Minecraft
•    Portal 2
•    The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
•    Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception

The list is largely unsurprising, although the inclusion of FIFA 12 seems a little ridiculous, but then I’m no football fan.

Don’t be surprised if Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 wins though. The series has taken the award three years in a row.
