Asura’s Wrath UK delay won’t affect SA

9 February 2012

Originally expected to be released on the 24th of February 2012, Capcom’s action-packed game of drama-gods has been reported to be delayed until the 9th of March 2012 in the UK.

We usually take it that whatever happens in the UK knocks-on to us – but we’ve spoken to local distributors, Craving Novity, who said the game will not be delayed on our shores, after all.

Capcom justified the UK delay by blaming the uncertainty of the UK retail market after well-known UK retailer, GAME began layoffs earlier this week, stirring the rumour pot that it plans on selling its overseas businesses as well.

How a two-week delay is expected to bring greater certainty and solidify sales is unknown, but thankfully that’s not really our concern.

Asura’s Wrath will be released on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 locally on the planned 24 February 2012.

Players will take on the role of Asura, a demigod fighting to save his daughter. It has also been confirmed that otaku purists will be able to pick between Japanese and English voice overs – the English voice actor is Liam O’Brien, remembered by Darksider fans as the voice of War.
