Interactive Academy Awards winners announced

You can all stop arguing over what last year’s best game was because the wizards at the Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences have decided for you – it’s The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, and anybody who has a problem with this be fireballed. Glad that’s sorted out then.

Bethesda‘s dragon simulator blagged the Game of the Year prize at the Interactive Achievement Awards event in Las Vegas last night, in addition to accolades for Outstanding Achievement in Gameplay Engineering, Gameplay Direction, Outstanding Achievement in Story and Role-Playing/Massively Multiplayer Game of the Year.

Both Uncharted 3 and Portal 2 grabbed three awards each, while Duke Nukem Forever didn’t even get a nomination.
