You might have noticed that 8 February has come and gone, and no Minecraft Pocket Edition update has turned up. So it’s probably not actually news that it’s been delayed, although it is official now, just in case you wondered.
According to Mojang’s Daniel Kaplan, the delay is because “bugs bugs bugs”, although it’s not clear for the moment whether the game has bugs or the studio has been attacked by giant laser gun-toting bugs from outer space.
The update is supposed to support the incoming Survival Mode, which will be another update. So it’s basically an update for an update, which means two updates are now delayed, and all I can do about it is make a big sad face with grass and stone blocks somewhere on the barren landscape that is Minecraft Pocket Edition.
No word yet on when it’s coming.

I don’t mind. As long as it happens I’m happy. School won’t ever be the same when this patch comes out.
