BioWare has confirmed that Mass Effect 3 is all finished up on time, a whole month ahead of its March launch. The game will now be sent off to the shiny magic disc factory for production.
“After an awesome effort by our team, I’m proud to announce #MassEffect3 is officially GOLD! Many surprises await you – this week and beyond,” posted lead game guy Casey Hudson on Twitter.
The Mass Effect 3 demo went live over the weekend for those people smart enough to work out a Facebook minigame.
The demo features both single- and multiplayer gameplay, and drops on Xbox LIVE, PSN, and PC tomorrow to the general public, although the multiplayer component is initially available only to those people who redeemed a Battlefield 3 online pass, and will be opened on 17 February for everybody else. It’s not actually as confusing as it sounds.
For those of you who don’t have Xbox LIVE Gold subscriptions, the demo also includes exclusive, time-limited access to the multiplayer stuff.
The game is out on 9 March.

eish… kingdoms of amalur just finished downloading on origin at lunch time, darkness 2 is downloading on steam as i type this and now the ME3 demo drops tomorrow… and i get shiny new toys in KOA if i play the ME3 demo as well…my poor internet XD
