Want to meet the man you’ll be going up against in Alan Wake’s American Nightmare?
Meet Mr. Scratch – he’s a really friendly guy, and likes doing friendly guy stuff, like murdering people via stabbing, strangling and presumably hugs. And he kind of mostly sort of looks like Alan Wake himself – which poses a little bit of a problem.
In American Nightmare, Alan Wake is stuck in an alternate reality he can’t escape, and must track down Mr. Scratch and…’deal’ with him – and the only way he can do that is by learning to control reality itself. Which is easy to do, right?
American Nightmare is the stand-alone spin-off to Alan Wake, and will be available for download on Xbox Live for 1200 Microsoft points. Aside from the main single-player story, the game will also have an additional arcade mode called “Fight till Dawn” where Wake must battle and survive a night of enemy hordes while racking up a high score.
The game will be available for download, 22 February 2012.
