As part of its five-year plan to put Angry Birds onto every platform in the universe, Rovio has just launched Angry Birds on Facebook. “Launched”, get it? Because the game is all about launching birds at stuff.
Between this and my amazing pun in the Mass Effect 3 demo article, I think I’m going to start calling myself the PUNisher. Get it? Because nevermind.
Anyway.
“This launch is just the beginning for Angry Birds on Facebook. We have great new features and gameplay lined up for the fans in the upcoming weeks,” said Rovio boss Petri Järvilehto, who actually used the launch gag before I did, but probably didn’t realise it because he’s a second language speaker.
“Angry Birds on Facebook will offer a unique experience for our fans, and we’re really excited to finally be with the platform.”
The game includes new, special social features so players can “can compete with their friends, brag about their scores, and earn coveted gold, silver, and bronze crowns for the top three scores in any level” and generally clog up everybody’s news feeds with irrelevant junk.
