PolarfluKe: February tournament announced

SA’s favourite StarCraft II tournament hosts have announced the details for the second PolarfluKe event of 2012.

As has become customary, PolarfluKe has secured a hefty R7,000 in cash prizes. The prize pool will be divided among the tournament’s top finishing players. PolarfluKe is South Africa’s most lucrative monthly eSports event.

There will be a fast-track qualifying round which will take place on Wednesday, 22 February. Then the tournament itself will kick off on Saturday, February 25, with the swiss rounds getting started at 2PM.

Players who continue through to the final rounds will be invited back to participate in a single elimination format the following day, Sunday 26 February. The single elimination rounds will get started at 2PM.

As usual, the tournament will be played on the European Battle.net servers, and players will required an active Battle.net account as well as a StarCraft II license key.

Players must also be over 18 years old or have a written consent letter signed by a legal guardian.

The cash prizes will be divided up as follows:

Prizes: R 7 000.00 (~$866)

•    Winner: R 2 400.00
•    2nd: R 1 600.00
•    3rd: R 1 000.00
•    4th: R 600.00
•    5th-8th: R 350.00
