Bobby Kotick elected to Coca-Cola board of directors

20 February 2012

In news I’d never have expected to write, Bobby Kotick has apparently been elected to the Coca-Cola board of directors, basically making him one of the big bosses of the multinational company.

“Bobby brings an entrepreneurial mindset and a high level of financial literacy and digital knowledge to our Company,” said Muhtar Kent, chairman and CEO of the Coca-Cola Company. “His global brand expertise and insight will be invaluable as we continue to grow our business and invest in enhancing our digital engagement with consumers and customers around the world.”

According to the official press stuff, Kotick has also been appointed to the company’s “Management Development Committee” – whatever that means, but it probably involves product placement in the next Call of Duty Thirst game.

US Navy SEAL Captain Fanta “Bubbles” Lemon-Twist and spec ops Team Ultimate Quench must save him, but they didn’t count on finding evidence of weapons of mass refreshment.

Or something like that.
