Want a Counter-Strike: Global Offensive beta key?

23 February 2012

The Counter-Strike blog recently fired off 7,000 beta keys to current CSS and CS 1.6 players as well as 2,000 beta keys to multiple community sites around the world.

On the off chance that you are a Counter-Strike buff and haven’t received a beta key, you have a chance to get one by filling in a survey.

That’s right, the next batch of keys will be sent to fans who complete the hardware survey via Steam.

Don’t complete it, no beta key for you.

The blog goes on to point out that “There are no wrong answers to the survey questions.” Why would they say that unless there were wrong answers? *gasp*

The Counter-Strike community also adds that they will continue to give active Counter-Strike: Global Offensive beta players keys to share with their friends.

With no mandate on when CS:GO will be shipped, the devs insist that, “By the end of this, everyone will be playing the game – it will be the released game that you’re just playing. Then, at some point, we’ll say, ‘OK we’re going to release it.'”

When you figure out what that means, let us know in the comments section below.
