Near the end of last year, we caught wind of some big new Pokémon announcement happening sometime in early 2012; an announcement we pegged at being the reveal of Pokémon Grey.
We didn’t forgot about it – it just never happened when it was supposed to, and we instead got shown a Pokémon/Nobunaga’s Ambition crossover title.
Now, coming out of nowhere on the weekend episode of Pokémon Smash, Nintendo has revealed the next Pokémon game – and no, it’s not Grey, though the details may be.
Coming around September 2012, Pokéfans can expect Pokémon Black and White 2 – the first direct sequels in the Pokémon series.
So instead of a third Pokémon game meshing the previous two together for another adventure, you’ll be getting a third AND fourth.
And you’ll buy them both, admit it.
The games will feature a new pair of legendaries – Black Kyurem and White Kyurem (which we assume is the originally grey Kyurem having split).
Nintendo have announced the game for the NDS, though apparently it will be playable on the 3DS as well.
