The Game Developers Conference is the world’s largest and longest running event serving professionals dedicated to the art and science of making games – something I’m sure all MyGaming readers can appreciate.
The conference began yesterday in relative Americaland time, which is actually today, and will run through to Friday, March 9 at the Moscone Convention Center in San Francisco, California.
Highlights of this year’s session include more than 400 lectures, panels, tutorials, roundtable discussions, and workshops conducted by industry luminaries.
Then of course, there is the annual Independent Games Festival (IGF) and Game Developers Choice Awards (GDCAs) ceremonies which happen every year at GDC.
“The GDC has long served as a platform for innovation and exploration within our community and we are proud to say that as we head into our 26th edition of the event, we continue to uphold those principles,” said Meggan Scavio, general manager of the Game Developers Conference.
“We are on the cusp of a brand new era in digital entertainment and it has never been more crucial for the industry to come together and exchange ideas at a forum like the one GDC has provided for more than two decades,” said Scavio.
