As announced back in late January 2012 by publisher Atlus and developer Frozenbyte, Trine 2 had been delayed for the PlayStation 3.
Two months later the wait is over and the puzzle-platformer sensation is finally out on the PlayStation Network.
As compensation for the game’s delayed release in PAL territories, it is currently being sold on the PSN network at a 30% discount for the next two weeks, and is free for European PlayStation Plus subscribers.
“We are all incredibly thrilled that Trine 2 is finally arriving in the European PlayStation Store,” commented Aram Jabbari manager of public relations and sales at Atlus.
“We are also excited to work with Sony Computer Entertainment Europe to make the game completely free for a limited time for European PlayStation Plus users.”
Trine 2 has received significant praise from reviewers with the PlayStation 3 release sitting with an aggregate score of 84 on MetaCritic.
