Trion Worlds is currently celebrating the one year anniversary of its fantasy themed MMORPG, Rift.
Part of the celebrations includes re-activating all inactive Rift accounts. This means that everyone who has at some point subscribed to the MMORPG can go play right now for free, and the offer runs until 14 March.
The free-to-play opportunity is obviously a sneaky ploy to get back lapsed subscribers and I’m totally cool with that.
If you have never played Rift, then you can take advantage of the Rift Lite program, which allows you to play the game for free without any restrictions up until level 20.
Rift was arguably 2011’s most anticipated MMORPG, and while it achieved positive critical feedback, its impact on the MMO landscape felt a little short lived.
Still, it’s a great game, enjoying Metacritic score of 84/10, and a user score of 7.2/10.
