First National Bank announced today (12 March 2012) that it has dropped the monthly prices of the Apple iPad 2 16 GB Wi-Fi by 20%, and the iPad 2 16GB Wi-Fi & 3G by 17%.
The iPad 2 16 GB Wi-Fi is now offered at a monthly rate of R165, and the iPad 2 16GB WiFi and 3G at a monthly rate of R219 – both payable over 24 months.
FNB also announced that it has sold over 50,000 tablets and smartphones to its customers in less than 5 months.
The bank’s smartphone and tablet offerings are available to gold and platinum cheque account, as well as private client account holders.
Customers who take up the offer get unlimited cheque card swipes; four free ATM cash withdrawals per month; free subscription to online and mobile banking; and the FNB banking app.
While the price of the device quoted to customers when they contract with FNB will not change during the 24 month period, the fees on the Cheque Account may change – in-line with FNB’s Annual Price review, effective 1 July 2012.
