All good things must come to an end, including EA Sports Active NFL Training Camp for Wii. Was that ever a good thing? Probably not, actually, but maybe that’s even more reason for it to end.

Accordingly enough then, EA has announced they’ll be shutting down the online servers for a bunch of games at the end of March and in April 2012.

Controversially, that list includes EA Sports MMA, released only 18 months ago, and requiring an Online Pass which may have been bought separately.

This has, predictably, started a bit of a thing over on EA’s forums, with one angry user asking that the company “please explain to me exactly how was the ‘Online Pass’ not nothing more than a money grab? And exactly how are you justifying shutting these servers down again?”

The complete list of games going to online heaven includes:

It’s really sad that they’re dropping Boom Blox 🙁 People could create their own levels and upload it to the servers. There’s a wealth of brilliant levels online – so I suggest all Boom Blox players download some levels to the SD card 🙁
