Guild Wars 2 beta invites sent out

According to the official Guild Wars 2 Twitter feed, closed beta keys are currently being sent out to lucky individuals who applied to take part in the testing phase.

“Yes, beta invitations have begun going out. Do not risk your access if you were accepted!”

The announcement was echoed on the Guild Wars 2 Facebook page:

“Yes, beta invitations have begun going out. They’ll be sent out over the next few days. Please remember that discussing the beta in any way, shape, or form — including your status in it — is a breach of NDA. Don’t risk your beta access! ~RB2”

Public registrations for the beta opened in on 22 February, 2012, and remained open until 24 February. Over 1 million people signed up for the beta, causing the “technical troubles” on ArenaNet’s servers. The beta is expected to begin at the end of March.
