Street Fighter producer Yoshinori Ono has been hospitalized after a physically taxing tour across Asia promoting Street Fighter X Tekken.

This news comes via Capcom’s Japanese blog, saying that Ono won’t be performing any work-related affairs for some time. Reports seem to indicate that he is not in any kind of critical condition.

Capcom’s official report is as follows:

“I would like to bring something else to everyone’s attention. Shortly after the Street Fighter X Tekken promotion in Asia, Ono-san’s physical condition rapidly and heavily deteriorated and he had to be taken to the hospital. Because of his hospital tenure he will not be performing work-related affairs for a while. Ono’s well-being is very important to us, and we wish for his steady recovery”.

Ono is well-liked for his consistent Twitter stream, but the producer has also been conspicuously absent from the service since March 14.

We hope to see him well and back at events soon.
