MW3 victors from Mweb GameZone Clan Connection PS3 tournament

30 March 2012

After two weeks, L0$T Elite came out on top of F34R Elite as champions of the MWEB GamesZone Clan Connection PS3 Modern Warfare Championship.

Streamed live, the local clans battled it out in one of the most exciting tournaments seen on the platform. The two-match first round (which was Seek and Destroy), saw F34R Elite narrowly move ahead of L0$T Elite, but L0$T Elite managed to win convincingly in the second match.

The second round saw the two worthy clans take on Capture the Flag in a two-match contest. L0$T showed their experience, combining great communication, marking and teamwork to trump F34R who needed 8 flags in the second match. This gave L0$T the momentum to finish off the match in a defensive fashion.

The second F34R team then went and took on D2U in the 3rd and 4th place play-offs, but unfortunately weren’t able to come out on top of D2U.

Good spirits were shown within the tournament as one of the D2U players (D34TH_7D34DLY_2U) couldn’t participate after his PS3 failed; but both teams, regardless of winner, decided beforehand that they would donate their winnings (total of R1,500 worth of vouchers) to D34TH_7D34DLY_2U so he could rejoin the community.

Congrats to L0$T on becoming the MWEB GameZone Clan Connection PS3 Modern Warfare Champions.
