DoGaming FIFA 12 league leg one wraps up

The DGL FIFA 12 league has wrapped up the first leg of its PS3 tournament.

Rolando ‘RoLo_87’ de Aveiro claimed the top spot of the leg with a solid 21 points.

Rolando was undefeated in seven consecutive games which gave him a strong lead, as the closest opposition behind him was Moshe ‘JAGUGUARANG’ Shevel who ended up sitting on 16 points. Third place was shared by Brandon ‘Mannes1984’ Manuel and the leader’s brother Claudio ‘Ts0Tsi101’ de Aveiro.

The two brothers did battle it out, as Rolando beat out Claudio using Manchester City and Real Madrid respectively in a 4-2 encounter. Rolando then made a tactical switch to Napoli, and finished the second match with a 0-0 draw, but dominated with a 7-2 win in the third.

Bheka ‘i_bm’ Mchunu and Arshad ‘Eyez’ Ismail went head-to-head, seeing Ismail taking the first and third games, while Mchunu redeemed himself with a win for the second game.

Shevel then played his final game of the leg against Brendon ‘Da Message’ Kindo, who lost to Shevel 4-1 and 4-2 in two matches.

The First Division qualifiers, comprised of eight players, will join the Premier Division to make the Champions Cup. Then the top eight and bottom eight players will battle it out to slot into the Premier Division or drop down to the First Division.

The First Division players heading into the Champions Cup are as follow:

  • Dimitri ‘Gimpedz’ Du Plessis
  • Martin ‘Dragnier’ Botha
  • Godfrey ’Gotta1979’ Eybers
  • Gordon ‘gordopb9’ Butler
  • Abubakar ‘mikkaeel’ Ebrahim
  • Andrew-lee ’Franchize_boy87’ Tobias
  • Zane ‘zane_insane’ Streak
