Assassin’s Creed III places bigger emphasis on Desmond

4 April 2012

Lead writer on Assassin’s Creed III, Matt Tuner, has said that the highly-anticipated third instalment in the Assassin’s Creed series will feature Desmond more than previously before.

The series is known for jumping back-and-forth in time, notably featuring moments where gamers got a glimpse and sometimes took control of parallel protagonist Desmond Miles, who relives his ancestors’ memories through a machine known as the Animus.

“All I can say about Desmond’s story is you’re going to experience more Desmond than you’ve ever had before,” the AC scribe said, speaking to CVG. “We’re spending more time on the present than we have in past games.”

Gamers were recently shown Assassin’s Creed III’s new hero, Connor Kenway, but Turner assures fans that Desmond will get his deserved screen time.

“It’s a big part of our story and I don’t really want to give too many details away because I want people to experience what that is. But rest assured, you’re going to see a lot of Desmond. More so than in any past game.”
