A planned Gears of War game, subtitled ‘Exile’, has officially been cancelled.
Whether the game was a spin-off, downloadable game or primary edition into the series is irrelevant now as we will never get the chance to play it.
Epic’s Cliff Bleszinski has confirmed that the rumoured title was indeed in development, but has been slammed in the trash before ever being announced.
“Let’s just bury the hatchet now,” he told Gamespot. “Gears of War: Exile was an unannounced game that I can’t give any details about that has since been cancelled.”
In 2010 ‘industry insiders’ said a Kinect Gears of War title is in the works at Epic Games.
Epic Games then quietly filed a trademark for Gears of War: Exile and registered a logo to go along with it.
