You’d think a game that awarded bonus points for shooting bad guys in the ballbags would be an instant hit, but apparently not so much. Maybe Epic Games and People Can Fly should have marketed Bulletstorm for women instead, but it’s too late now.
“I think Bulletstorm was very critically successful, and I think a lot of folks really enjoyed seeing something new. From a sales perspective it was good, but not amazing. I think EA was hoping we’d do better,” Epic prez Mike Capps told Gamespot.
“We thought a lot about a sequel, and had done some initial development on it, but we found a project that we thought was a better fit for People Can Fly. We haven’t announced that yet, but we will be announcing it pretty soon,” he added.
“I’d love to go back [to Bulletstorm]. I think there’s more to do with Bulletstorm. Heck, it kind of ended wanting more. I’d love to see another project, but right now we don’t have anything to talk about.”
So that’s that, or almost – Capps didn’t forget to blame poor PC sales on piracy.
“We made a PC version of Bulletstorm, and it didn’t do very well on PC and I think a lot of that was due to piracy. It wasn’t the best PC port ever, sure, but also piracy was a pretty big problem.”
But probably mostly because it wasn’t, uh, the best PC port ever. It didn’t even have custom video settings.

Not a good port….. The freaking game has more Graphics problems on PC, and it still does! I had to roll-back a few versions of drivers to get the game to look like a game, and not a triangle splatter. But there was still many many glitches. And this is one of the main reasons I would not recommend the game on PC.
And the demo was crap, so anybody who played that would not have bought the game. The game however was on of the best games I played last year. Only reason I got it was because the game was on special on steam. Also its best played with a Gamepad and not trusted K&M setup.
