Zynga boss stalked by a stripper, spends over $1 million in security

11 April 2012

With great power comes great responsibility… aaaand great potential for attracting crazies.

Zynga boss Mark Pincus knows all about that, as he claims he’s been stalked by a Russian stripper for over a year. In a series of e-mails, voice-mails, and blog posts written in February last year, Vera Svenchina allegedly claimed, among other things, that her family invented Zynga and that Google co-founders Sergey Brin and Larry Page killed her father. She also told Pincus that his children were “ugly babies”, which may or may not be true.

Svenchina was apparently committed to a psychiatric ward for three days in 2010 after reporting to the police that Google was sending messages to her brain, telling her to kill herself.

That case is being settled in court, but according to Kotaku, additional “undisclosed threats” have forced the company to put down over $1.3 million for private security for Pincus and his family.

Maybe Batman is after him.
