Crysis 3 art on Origin confirms existence of Crysis 3

11 April 2012

After a morning of busy speculation about Swedish gaming mag Game Reactor’s hotly-rumoured Crysis 3 reveal, somebody over at Origin HQ has accidentally posted the game’s box art on EA’s storefront, confirming it’s a real thing and totally stealing Game Reactor’s thunder.

The box art shows what is presumably the game’s protagonist, all dressed up in a Nanosuit and tugging on what looks like some sort of futuristic bow and arrow set. Maybe it’s a re-imagining of the Robin Hood story, but probably not.

The internet was already all over the game earlier today when NeoGAFfers spotted the cover of the next issue of Game Reactor, which reads “Exclusive! Secret – [We’re] the world’s first magazine to tell all about this hot, secret sequel!”

The Nanosuit pattern in the corner kind of gives the “hot, secret sequel” away.

According to CVG, Crytek said last month that they were preparing to announce a “spectacular” PC and console game in April. It’s all coming together now.
