There must be a glitch in The Matrix, because browsing the App Store’s top 10 free games has given me some serious déjà vu.
Sitting at number 6 is Battle Duty: Modern Field 3, which sounds eerily familiar. The iOS shooter offers a 100% unique experience of shooting people in different environments.
If you like the game, be sure to purchase the ad-free version, which won’t only unlock all the levels but fund the sequel, “Battle Duty 2”. It’s unclear at this point as to why the sequel goes a number lower rather than higher.
For a free App, it comes jam-packed with different options, some of which we’ve never seen before, but wish we had. Do you kind of hate graphics in games? Turn them off entirely in Battle Duty: Modern Field 3.

It may be a free game, but that doesn’t mean it was cheap to make. According to the official description, Battle Duty is “an epic AAA quality game with a budget of 100 million dollars designed to crash low-budget indie titles like ‘Cowadoody’ and ‘Battlederp’ series.”
The “cover art” features a mesh of two absurdly-similar covers, with the soldier sporting a funky “trollface” helmet – very “in” this season.
