It looks as if Black Ops 2 will be announced next month if sources are to be believed.
A retail insider sent a photo to Kotaku showing what looks like a promotional poster for the next instalment into the Call of Duty series.
Reading “05.02.12” and “Return for debriefing”, the poster looks uncannily Call of Duty-ish, and the date obviously speculated as a reveal time, not a release.
Although Activision and Treyarch have not made any mention of this year’s inevitable Call of Duty release, a stream of supposed details have emerged over the last couple months regarding the existence of a Black Ops sequel.
A listing for Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 popped up over on Amazon France earlier in the year before being quickly pulled down.
The original Black Ops’ narrative played out as a debriefing filled with flashbacks which the player experienced, and the poster could be a reference and callback to that.
We’ll have to wait and see on May 2nd if the rumours prove true.
