Clan FiB (First in Battle) are crowned victorious after the team won the first leg of the Battlefield 3 DoGaming League Champions Cup.
FiB managed to beat out Bravado Gaming in the final in some tightly contested rounds which saw both teams in an arm-wrestle for superiority; although FiB were faster to react.
Sean ‘Suumpmolk’ McCalgan, joint captain and manager of Bravado Gaming’s Battlefield 3 division, said that their shortcomings were due to spreading out too much and not committing to securing their captured flags. “I think both sides managed to cap flags fairly easily with big pushes but FiB just reclaimed them faster” McCalgan said.
Rick ‘Jalgorty’ Schlenk, captain of the First in Battle Terra squad, agreed with the sentiment, as speed was his team’s winning attribute.
“On the night, the teams were very much equal in terms of strategy and each push was a challenge to the opposition. I think that maybe we may have been a little quicker to adapt in certain situations than they were at the end, which is what gave us the slight edge,” he said.
Both teams are eager to face-off against one another again when the second leg kicks off on the 24th of April.
