The real advantage of community-funding site Kickstarter is that the really innovative, the really different and the really weird get a chance at release.
Indie point-and-click adventure Inner Dream definitely fits into the third of these categories. I’d love to tell you what it’s about, but frankly I’m not sure. See if you can figure out the official description:
‘Inner Dream’ is a modern fairy tale about dreams. What if time frozen when you were sleeping? How could you wake up if everything around you now looks like a photo? Find your way in the world of dreams and make clock ticking again to find your way back to reality.
So the grammar is a little rusty, but the developer is Russian so cut him some slack. The game seems to be a photographic style game, and will presumably involve some puzzle solving. It looks beautiful in a surreal way, and if done right it could be a really engaging combination of story and stunning, creepy visuals.
Unfortunately, the Kickstarter only has $121 pledged so far, looking to meet a goal of $11,111 in 31 days; things look a little grim for the project. Check out the page here.
