Amanita’s puzzler-adventure Botanicula launched last week on GOG for $8.99. It also launched the same day as the featured game in a new Humble Bundle for whatever people wanted to pay for it, so the people who preordered the game on GOG were pretty miffed about that.
Now GOG has announced they’re adding some bonus goodies to all preorders to make up for it, so everything is okay again.
Anybody who ordered Botanicula before 1 PM local time on 20 April is now also the proud owner of a shiny copy of Machinarium, and will be sent links to download the Botanicula soundtrack and a “special artbook of Botanicula designs and character sketches”.
BUT WAIT, THERE’S MORE.
All those people also get a free copy of the The Witcher: Enhanced Edition Director’s Cut. Score! That’s the first one, not the sequel, mind you. But still, pretty cool.
“At GOG.com, we’ll never knowingly disappoint you, and while this preorder mishap may have made you a little unhappy, we hope that you enjoy Botanicula,” read the official notice over on GOG. Aww.
