PES 2013 is “returning to its roots”

PES 2012 was a strong step-up for Konami’s football series, and with the inevitable release of PES 2013, the publisher is revealing new details.

The game is said to be “returning to its roots” with an emphasis placed on individual skill of the worlds greatest players, with greater control over the ball, as players will feature the trademark abilities of their real-life counterparts.

The new features include PES FullControl (PES FC) which allows for greater freedom of movement, dynamic first touches and full manual shooting and passing, giving players the precision to control the height and strength of every shot or assist to a teammate.

A strong focus has also been placed on player individuality and AI, resulting in a much smoother and authentic game of football.

After Lionel Messi defected to be the FIFA Street cover-boy, Christiano Ronaldo will once again feature on the cover and be the face of PES 2013, as Konami wanted “a player who embodies the skill and grace of top level football”.
