Leisure Suit Larry Kickstarter campaign uses breath spray, scores $500,000

There’s a Leisure Suit Larry Kickstarter campaign? There’s a Leisure Suit Larry Kickstarter campaign. And it’s headed up by none other than original Leisure Suit Larry creator Al Lowe, so you know it means business.

The project is, of course, Leisure Suit Larry HD, which is basically a remake of the original Leisure Suit Larry in the Land of the Lounge Lizards released back in 1987. I was technically (way) too young to play it at the time, but that’s what the Alt+X cheat was for. It didn’t make the game any better, but maybe the remake will.

The campaign has just made its target of $500,000 with a couple of days left on the clock, which means it’ll definitely be dropping onto PC, Mac, Linux, and possibly also iOS devices, XBLA, and PSN (depending on how much more cash they can get before time runs out) at some future date.

Now let’s see a Quest for Glory Kickstarter. I’d give money to that.
