Bethesda marketing vice president Pete Hines tweeted on Thursday that we’ll possibly be getting some info on the Skyrim DLC next week.
This had everyone pretty worked up, as we’re all expecting big things from the DLC. Last year game director Todd Howard promised a DLC with an “expansion pack feel”, something a little meatier than the usual fare.
Of course the internet is full of kids who like to sneak under the Christmas tree and shake their presents, and once again those not content with waiting around have gone under the hood to see what they can find.
Some gamers on the Skyrim forums have uncovered series of strings buried in the most recent patch which reference crossbows, a snow elf prince and vampire feeding animations. According to the posts, the files were in a subfolder not-too-subtly-labeled “DLC01”, so it’s probably safe to assume you’ll be able to shoot a snow elf prince in the face with a crossbow in the near future.
